Once a month we email you a short report on your Google reviews: how many new reviews came in, whether your star rating moved, and every 1–3 star review that deserves a reply. No login, no credit card, no app — and you never give us access to your Google account.

How our Google review tracker works

1

Find your business

Pick it from the Google list and add your email. We read your current rating and review count right away and confirm you’re at 4.0★ or better.

2

We watch your public listing

Monitoring reads the same reviews any customer can see on Google Maps. You don’t connect your Google account, share a password or install anything.

3

A report lands monthly

In the first ten days of each month you get your Google review report, compared against the month before. Your first one arrives once there are at least two weeks of reviews to compare.

Google review alerts for the reviews that need an answer

Most owners don’t miss reviews because they don’t care. They miss them because they’re busy running the business. A 2-star review from three weeks ago with no reply is what the next customer reads when they look you up. The monthly report puts those reviews at the top, so a calm public reply — thank them, take it offline, say what you changed — goes up while it still matters.

The report is a monthly summary, not an instant notification. If you also want an email the moment a review is posted, turn on review notifications in your Google Business Profile settings. The two work well together: Google tells you when a review arrives, and Meritly shows you the month at a glance.

Who qualifies: 4.0 stars or better

Free Google review monitoring is for businesses that already do good work. Your business must hold an average Google rating of 4.0★ or better when you sign up, and it must stay there to keep receiving reports. We check the rating again before every monthly report. If it’s under 4.0 that month, no report goes out; once you’re back at 4.0★ or better, the next one does.

Why Google review monitoring from Meritly is free

Meritly recognizes local businesses with strong public reviews. We make our money from optional award plaques for businesses that meet a higher standard — 4.5★ across 30 or more Google reviews. Monitoring doesn’t require buying anything, now or later, and there is no paid tier hiding behind it. If you’d like to see exactly how Meritly works, read our honest answer to “is Meritly a scam?” or about the standard.

Google review monitoring FAQ

Is the Google review monitoring really free?

Yes. There is no trial period, no credit card and no paid upgrade. The only condition is a Google rating of 4.0★ or better.

Do you need access to my Google Business Profile?

No. Monitoring reads your public Google listing — the same rating, review count and reviews any customer sees. You never share a login.

What happens if my rating drops below 4.0 stars?

Reports pause for any month your rating is under 4.0★. Once you’re back at 4.0★ or better, the next monthly report goes out as normal.

How often will I get a report?

Once a month, in the first ten days of the month. Your first report comes once there are at least two weeks of reviews to compare against your sign-up.

Will I see every new review?

The report lists your most recent reviews, with 1–3 star reviews flagged, and links to all of your reviews on Google. Busy businesses that get dozens of reviews a month see the newest ones in the email and the full list one click away.

Can I monitor more than one location?

Yes. Sign up each location separately; each Google listing gets its own monthly report.

How do I stop the reports?

Every report has a one-click “Stop the monthly report” link at the bottom.

Is Meritly affiliated with Google?

No. Meritly is an independent service that reads Google’s public review data. Google is a trademark of Google LLC.
